- Amoxicillin trihydrate 575 mg (equivalent to 500 mg Amoxicillin base)
- Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal semi-synthetic penicillin.
- Has a rapid bactericidal effect against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococci, Streptococci, Pasteurella, and Clostridia.
- Acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis.
- Rapidly soluble in water and completely absorbed from the intestine.
- Reaches peak blood concentration within two hours and is distributed in all body tissues and bones.
- Used for the treatment of necrotic enteritis caused by Clostridia and ulcerative enteritis.
- Used to treat intestinal infections and diarrhea caused by E. coli and Salmonella.
- Used to treat respiratory diseases caused by Coryza and Pasteurella.
- Treats arthritis and footpad swelling caused by Staphylococci.
- Prevents secondary bacterial infections during viral diseases.
- 20 – 30 mg / kg body weight for 3 – 5 days.
